Cellphones

We live in a technological era that is that lais claim to performance and nano technology. Everything is supposed to help us free more time and increase productivity.

Cellphones is an integral part of that ideal.

When that technology was introduced it was but a mere shell of its being, promising us the world.
I think that the cellphone manufacturers have outdone themselves. I mean just look at the leap that cellphones has taken in the last few years.
Video calling was a fantasy portrayed by filmmakers only, but now its fast becoming a everyday use thanks to 3g and hsdpa technology. There is still a few bugs in the system, the worst one being the lack of coverige in SA. Tourist destonations and cities have it but the rural areas dont.

The networks should look into it, because people in the rural areas will come to rely on the technology.

But back to cellphones. What is a cellphone?
Its i
a device to communicate with, but today its so much more. Its a camera that can take videos, make calls, send text messages, recieve emails, browse the web etc. Such a small tool with diverse functions, its marvelous.

Google Earth

HI there. I would like to discuss the wonder that is Google Earth. What better way to see the physical world than with it. I mean with detailed imaging, it provides people with a chance to see things from a new perspective, that they never would have seen (unless u can hack into NASA's mainfraim, hehe). But i think it is wonderfull product that google provides. The only thing is you need a reasonable fast internet connection to view the images, otherwise you will be waiting for hours to see a image, because it is a streamed image.

Another thing i liked about it was the fact that it shows u these small rundown towns (it even shows its name). U have options as to what the map should show you like tourist attractions, etc.

More on this as i explore the wonders of Google Earth
