Mirc

I would like to inform the uninformed about mIRC. mIRC is a chat application with various servers containing a hell of allota chatrooms. My personal favourite is the blabber.net server.
The purpose of this application, like any other IM is to share information, mingle and generally chat with other people, that u normally would not have met.

Also with mIRC is the various scripts available for the application. Now there are allot of scripts available for mIRC, that is why I use the INVISION mod for my mIRC. Basically what it is, it is a compilation of various scripts.

For allot of fun i would recommend that anyone who hasn't yet got it, GET IT NOW!!!!!

Thats all for today, more on mIRC later.

Motorola RIZR Z6 Announced

At CES 2007 Las Vegas Motorola joined the gang and presented the successor of the popular RIZR Z3 - the MOTORIZR Z6. The new slider is part of the new MOTOMUSIC platform and comes along with the updated EDGE version of the Motorola MING A1200 model. It seems that Motorola would keep their marketing strategy of producing slightly updated version to their existing handsets instead of making entirely new mobiles from scratch. The prospects of a new group of music-oriented devices sounds exciting since this is the current trend on the market and Motorola didn't have such mobiles up until now.

The Motorola RIZR Z6 will run on a new Linux-Java-based user interface and promises enhanced music experience featuring connectivity with Windows Media Player 11 and supporting Janus DRM. It will have the same design as its predecessor RIZR Z3with almost the same size but it will weigh 10 g less. The new RIZR Z6 will have an improved display - this time with QVGA resolution, but it will retain the 2 megapixel camera of the predecessor. We hope that there would be some improvement in the camera quality department too since the RIZR Z3 deserved some criticism along that line of functionality. The MOTORIZR Z6 is expected to be available in the first half of 2007.

The release of the awaited Apple iPhone has been announced. It is a widescreen iPod, mobile phone, mobile internet terminal and a digital camera.

Equipped with either 4Gb or 8Gb there is more than enough space for your music or photo choices. One of the best features in the device is its operating system wich is OS X, and the next best thing is the "Multi finger gestures touchscreen" and it doesn't need a stylus.

Specs:
4-8Gb memory
3.5" TFT touchscreen colour display
320x480 screen resolution
11.6mm Thick

Unfortunately it doesn's have 3G or HSDPA support
Bluetooth 2.0
Another nifty feature of the phone is the Proximity Sensor, which turns on the phone's backlight when you pick it up and the ambience light sensor, which adjusts the brighness of the screen according to abience light.

All in all, this is a very powerfull mobile device and i would reccomend it to anyone into technology.

Cellphones

We live in a technological era that is that lais claim to performance and nano technology. Everything is supposed to help us free more time and increase productivity.

Cellphones is an integral part of that ideal.

When that technology was introduced it was but a mere shell of its being, promising us the world.
I think that the cellphone manufacturers have outdone themselves. I mean just look at the leap that cellphones has taken in the last few years.
Video calling was a fantasy portrayed by filmmakers only, but now its fast becoming a everyday use thanks to 3g and hsdpa technology. There is still a few bugs in the system, the worst one being the lack of coverige in SA. Tourist destonations and cities have it but the rural areas dont.

The networks should look into it, because people in the rural areas will come to rely on the technology.

But back to cellphones. What is a cellphone?
Its i
a device to communicate with, but today its so much more. Its a camera that can take videos, make calls, send text messages, recieve emails, browse the web etc. Such a small tool with diverse functions, its marvelous.

Google Earth

HI there. I would like to discuss the wonder that is Google Earth. What better way to see the physical world than with it. I mean with detailed imaging, it provides people with a chance to see things from a new perspective, that they never would have seen (unless u can hack into NASA's mainfraim, hehe). But i think it is wonderfull product that google provides. The only thing is you need a reasonable fast internet connection to view the images, otherwise you will be waiting for hours to see a image, because it is a streamed image.

Another thing i liked about it was the fact that it shows u these small rundown towns (it even shows its name). U have options as to what the map should show you like tourist attractions, etc.

More on this as i explore the wonders of Google Earth
